Responsibilities:

• Promote the prevention of injuries among personnel, of damage to facilities, materials and equipment in order to achieve a safe and healthy work environment within the company’s areas of operations and activities.
• Implement safety matters for building and civils and oil, gas and petrochemical projects.
• Create awareness of safety among the construction staff and work force.
• Identify, evaluate and control safety, health and environmental hazards.
• Implement the use of personal protective safety equipment (PPE) within the work force.
• Investigate incidents/accidents and take remedial measures to avoid recurrences.
• Attend project safety meetings and present reports.
• Monitor and modify safety techniques to achieve zero injury, zero accident and zero accident.
• Inspect the work site daily and correct unsafe methods and conditions.

• Carry out site surveys and inspections to ensure safe work methods are in operation, health and safety requirements are being observed.
• Ensure that welfare and first aid facilities are adequate and properly maintained.
• Determine the cause of any accidental occurrence and recommend measures to prevent recurrences.
• Suggest ways to prevent injury to personnel, damage to site facility or equipment and fires.
• Implement safety procedures.

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, environmental management, or a related field.
• Professional HSE certifications, such as NEBOSH, IOSH, and OSH are highly desirable.
• In-depth understanding of local HSE regulations and international best practices.
• Fluent English in both written and verbal communication.
